A pattern is beginning to emerge in states eager to take advantage of the legal hemp product market, and small business owners are paying for it. Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards isn't happy about the state of hemp in his home state. Regulators of the state’s medical marijuana program intend to curb the use of the controversial cannabinoids significantly. At the urging of patient advocates, product manufacturers and researchers, the state has formally initiated the process of creating more thorough guidelines for governing the presence of delta-8 THC and other synthetics allowed in its medical marijuana program, according to recent news reports . Utah voters voted to legalize its MMJ market in 2018.
